I have been asked many questions regarding Creative Memories, everything from the price of the software (there is a free version) will I train you, how easy is it…are the books reasonable, do I sell traditional scrapbooking supplies as well.

I can buy digital life book software from lots of companies, how is Creative Memories different?Creative memories has personal consultants that will come to your home and show you how the software works and help you to build your first book. We also have a great customer support line that will help you.

What could I use this software for, is it just for books?

You can make books, invitations, full page scrapbook pages that can be framed. For example, you can have a team photograph printed to 12 x 12 and put in one of our “Page Frames”, on the cutout mat you could have everyone autograph it, also great for weddings, golden wedding anniversaries. I am too busy to make a scrapbook, do you have a product that I can store my photos and they will still look great?

If traditional scrapbooking does not fit your lifestyle, we have a great product called Picfolio Albums. They are photo albums that have three landscape and 2 portrait photo sleeves on each page, all you do is slip your photo in and write on the journal entry card and you are all done. The journal entry cards come in all sorts of colors to make your book colorful and fun!! They come in different sizes from as small as 2 xx 3 mini, 11 x 14, 8 x 8 up to a 12 x 12 max book

Do you have home parties where I can get something for holding the party?

Creative Memories is probably one of the most generous companies when it comes to hostess gifts. We have specials every month. Check out February for instance. When your event sales reach $250 or more, you’ll receive 15 percent of the total sales in Host Rewards (free products for you!) is just the start.

Is the software expensive?

You actually have a choice of downloading the free version or the full version. The free version is very good, but if you want to move things around, customize pages and add and take away things you are best to buy the full version. We have two bits of software that we offer you. There is Storybook Creator Plus which you use to build your book in, then there is Memory Manager. What Memory Manager does is organizes your photos using virtual sort boxes, and also organizes and stores videos and audio clips. We offer both software as a bundle to save money for $94.00 plus tax. Or you can just buy the storybook software on its own.

I have a digital camera and a computer, how hard is it to learn how to make a book I am a total newbie?

I have a computer training background and I use the K.I.S.S. formula (stands for Keep it simple stupid) If you know how to use word, or do an email I can teach you how to use this software. I will also tell you how to store your photos safely, and some great tips on how to get the best photo.

Would you teach a group? My daughter is getting married and she would like the wedding party involved in making a book.

Of course, the more the merrier. Weddings can be stressful and a digital life book would be a great gift to give to the bride. Take photos at the wedding and present her with a book afterwards.

Now while we are on the topic of personal touch. I am surprised that more people do not know about Creative Memories. I am a consultant for this company and I love it. I go to customers homes and install the Creative Memories software on their home computers and show them how to use it. When was the last time you bought software and called customer support and was put on hold or someone talked over your head and you walked away sooo confused. Several years ago I ran a small home based computer training business. I got calls from newbies, seniors and handicapped who were not comfortable going to group classes. I made a training program just for them and my business grew very quickly due to word of mouth. When I moved, I missed doing computer training. But one day I saw someone doing a demonstration on CITY TV. I contacted this girl right away and got into this business right away. Now I am combining my love for digital scrapbooking with my training background. People are LOVING it. I hold home parties and show customers how to make digital scrapbooks for special occassions or for upcoming events like weddings and babies.

So for those who are just getting into the world of digital scrapbooks I have some tips for you and share a horror story as well.
